NOTICE.— The following Clause of " The Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information : — " Every owner of sheep shall, in the month of Janufiry in each year, make a Return to the Chief Inspector of the number of Sheep in his charge in the Province of Nelson on the Ist day of January in each year ; and shall, in the month of February in tauh year, pay or cause to be paid to the Treasurer of the Province a Bum of money at the rate of three shillings per hundred for all f heep in his charge upon the Ist day of January in such year ; and in default the same may be sued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with the defendant."
