NOTICE.—The following Clause of « The Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information : — ; " Every owner of sheep shall, in the month of Janunry in each year* make a Return to the Chief Inspector of the number of Sheep : in his charge in the Province of Nelson on the Ist day of January in each • year ; • " arid shall, in the month of Februiary in . each year, pay or cause to be paid to the Treasurer of the Province a sum of money at the rate of three shillings per hundred for all Mieep in his charge upon the Ist day of Juhunry in such year ; and in default '• ; the same may be Bued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with the defendant."
