NOTICE.— The following Clause of » The Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information : — "Every owner of sheep shall, in the month of January in each year, make a Return to the Chief Inbpector of the number of Sheep in his charge in the Province of Nelson on the Ist day of January in each year ; and shall, in the month of February in ca<;h year, pay or cause to be paid to the Treasurer of the Province a sum of money nt the rate of three shillings per hundred for all fheep in his charge upon the Ist day of January in such ye;ir ; and in default the same may be sued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with the defendant."
