NOTICE.— The following Clause of "The Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information : — "Every owner of sheep shall, in the month of Januisry in each year, make a Return to the Chief Inspector of the number of Sheep in his charge in the Province of Nelson on the lst day of January in each year ; and shall, in the month of February in each year, pay or cause to be paid to the Treasurer of the Province a sum of money fit the rate of three shillings per hundred for all frheep in his charge-upon the lst day of Jji nuary in such year ; and in default the same may be sued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with the defendant."
