Auckland, December 23. The Governor Blackall sailed with the San Francisco m^ils last eveuing. The Southern mails only reached Onehunga at fur o'clock. She took ten passengers for San Francisco. Grahamstown, December 23. Albert John NicholLa pakeha Maori of twenty years standing, has been arrested on three separate charges of arson. The prosecutors are Maoris resident at Te Kari. There have been three fires in eight days here. Greymonth, December 23. Mr Bonar, a candidate for the Westland Superintendence, addreesed the : electors last night, and obtained a vote of confidence. Wellington, December 23. The nominations received lor the Wellington Cup are Mr R. Campbell's Castaway, and a bay filly by Traducer, Mr Brown's Loehnevar/Mr Redwood's Dead Shot, Mr Watts' Calumny and Hatred, and Mr Parker's Songstress and Batter. It is understood in well-informed circles that the Hon Mr Bathgate will shortly retire from the Ministry, and is to be appointed Resident Magistrate bf Dnnedin in the place of Mr Strode. Mr O'Rorke will in all probability become Minister of Justice. The Auckland line is down
