A telegram was read requesting the consent of the Board to the school-room being used for a Church Bazaar. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Sbephard, " That the matter be, left entirely in the hands of the Westport Committee." It was resolved, on tbe motion of Mr Burn, "That Mr Harper's -pplication for an extension of Mr Richardson's lease of the Maitai Valley reserve for seven yeara, on the original terms, be acceded to." It was teßolved, on the motion of _$r Shepbard, ■' That Mr Edgar's offer of ■£& per annum for a lease of the Motupiko reserve be accepted, on condition that the lease b^ for seven jears only, and.-that the, first year's rent be payable in, advance."
