'« The address chiefly referred to the Provincial Loans Bills, the Constitution r of the Legislative Council, and measures affecting 'Westland. He considered tbe Provincial Loans Bill was a wise., pleasure, and said that the sympathies bf the Council wpfo not with the mass, of the, people. He spoke for two hours and was frequently^ applauded. . An unanimous vote of confidence was passed. Seven children died on the passage, and three are ailing from dysentery. There were threa births. She draws 22ft 6in water. She will be towed up at to-morrow's flood tide.
