The Supebintendency. — Mr O'Conor invites the electors to meet him at Suburban North to-night ; and other places as per advertisement. — Mr Curtis holds a meeting; at Motueka to-morrow, and Riwaka on the following evening. Baptist Chapel.— Tbe anniversary of the Baptist Chapel in Bridge-street will be celebrated by a public' meeting this evening, when addresses will be delivered, and the Tonic Sol-Fa clasß will sing several pieces. Salts of 'Rams. — We call attention to «n advertisement by Meesrs. Stavert and Co., in which they stßte their intention of holding a sale of rams and ram lambß early in January next. This wiil give breeders » much needed opportunity of bringing their etock together, and either of purchasing or effecting an exchange where a change of blood is required.

' . .> /yi Conversazione.— A meeting of members ofthe Church of England in connec- . tion with tbe Diocesan Synod will be held at the Masonio Hall this evening, when the Primate will deliver an address, and papers on church matters wili be read by Measrs. HuDter Brown and Barnicoat. Discussion will take place on these papers, and in the intervals there will be selections of vocal and instrumental music. Bazaar.— A bazaar is to b^ held .in the Provincial Hall tp-morrpw and on the following da^yy ihe-^roceecte of ■whicfr-will be .devoted partly to the erection oi a ne'w church at Wakapuaka, ' and partly to the repairs of Christ Church Parsonage house. Eor many months past a number of. Jadies have been hard at work in the good* caused and an excellent show of articles useful and ornamental, will bo displayed^ in tempting array in the numerpus stalls that have been fitted up for their reception. We sincerely trust that tbeir efforts may meet with the reward they deserve. ' Cricket.— An amusing gsme of cricket was played on Saturday afternoon between the cabmen and blacksmiths, resulting in the defeat of the former. The distinguishing mark between the two Bides was that the cabmen appeared in white "belltoppers," and the smiths in black, and the principal amusement appeared to be the conversion of those fashionable articles of wear into footballs between each over.
