SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
H.M. -J. Pe*rJ, 17 guns. Commodore Goodenough, arrived at Wellington on Siturday night from Portsmouth, after a pleasant average passage of 90 days exclusive of stoppages. The Pearl called in at the Cape, where she remained four days. From a rumor that ieached her that a shipwrecked crew was on Amsterdam Island the touched there, but a diligent search failed to discover th* caßtaway ß, although a hut was found wtll stocked, and apparently ocenpied within no very remote date. No signs, however, of a human reing'e presence were seen on the island. The Pearl next touched at Perth, in Western Australia, where she remained lour days. Shortly after leaving Perth, while the ship whs going 12 knots, she passed a number oi dead bodies, and later saw indications of a wreck.
