Royal Conqueror, a pure Clydesdale, took the first prize at Batteraea as a two-year-old, at the United Exhibition of the Royal Agricultural Society of England, and the Royal Highland Society, and was therefore entitled to be regarded as the best colt in England and Scotland in bis year. He was selected and imported for, Mr H. Redwood by the Hon. W. Robinson. England's Hope has left in Nelson some of the best cart stock ever bred here, and his excellence as a sire is universally admitted. Captain, or " Old Captain," the name he came to be known by, was a horse of rare excellence, and his stock were always eagerly sought after. Jollt, dam of Young Conqueror, took the prize for cart fillies in Nelson two years in succession, and the colt himself took the first prize in Marlborough. Will travel the Wainieas, aud visit Wakapuaka and Motueka if sufficient inducement ofier. Terms:— £3 a mare and 5s groomage; allowance made for two or more mares.
