RIFLE MATCH.
An interesting and closely contested match between the City and Waimea Rifle Companies, who have for many years been rivals at the shooting butts, took place on Saturday last, when the representatives of the country maintained their old superiority by a majority of thirteen points. The day
was a very dull one, and the occasional showers that fell were not in favor of a frequent appearance of the red and white flag. Notwithstanding these disadvantages, the shooting was very creditable on both aides, as will be seen by the following scores: —
