Wellington, September 17. : ..:_ lathe House last night, the Governor's amendments in the Telegraph Cable Subsidy Agreement Batification Bill were agreed to, and the 3ill was read the second time. The Treasury Bill, Extended Currency Bill, _ and Timaru And Glad-tone Board of Works Bill were read the third time. In Committee of the whole a Bill to authorize a £50.000 loan for Westland Public Works was agreed to, and the bill read the first time. Wellington, September 17. The Government have issued a circular to the various Superintendents of the Provinces requesting* them to furnish reports as to the prospects held out to immigrants, and to give statistics regarding rations, wages, land institutions, products, industries, &c. The Premier will edit the reports, aud condense tbem in pamphlet form for circulation, in Great Britain.
