The amendment and acfdvtions to the clauses were carried. Messrs Roljesto^, Gillies, jjbd Sheehan opposed the Bill. The latter" propoaed and carried many alterations. Mr Rolleston characterised the bill as a jumble of nil the Native Bilie,jbadly drawn, and worse than useless.
