THE PERSEVERANCE MINE.
To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir — Having accompanied Mr Hall, the manager of the Ajax mine at Reefton, when he visited our Perseverance mine last week to report upon it, we were surprised to see a paragraph in last night's paper about the Perseverance Company's mine, which has a tendency to mislead shareholders. Mr Hall's report is lying at the Legal Manager's office, at the service of any shareholder who will take the trouble to read it. This we would recommend all shareholders interested in the prosperity of tbe Company to do. We do not require to wait the result of tke Decimal or any other Company's icorkinq, neither does Mr Hall recommend it. We have plenty of stone ready to stope, which can be worked from the present inclined shaft. One block alone is estimated to contain one thousand tons, where the rich gold-bearing stone was struck below the water level. We are, &c, Wm. Haddow, George Thompson, Directors Perseverance Company. Nelson, 21st August, 1873.
