The Taranaki arrived at Onehunga at nine o'clock thia morning. A brio has been signalled all the morning, but has sot yet made her number. The Kennedy arrived at Westport this morning at 11 o'clock, after a passage of 40 hours. The Wellington arrived from Manukau this morning. She reports rough weather the whole way; neither she nor the Taranaki on her upward passage being able to communicate with the shore at New Plymouth. We have this day visited the fine schooner Arthur Wakefield, which arrived from Auckland on the 11th inst. She is 60ft long, 17ft 3in in beam, with a 7ft hold; is 45 tons register, and will carry about 75 tons. She was built to order by Messrs Darrockand Sons, of Maturangi, Auckland. Her hull is coppered and copperfastened, and she has excellent accommodation for passengers. Her first trip was to Mercury Bay, where she loaded with timber for this port, but, owing to the mill breaking down, left without completing her loading. She is now taking in coals and general cargo for Wanganui, for which port she takes her departure this evening.
