Messrs McMeckan & Blackwood offer to establish a mail service to and from Melbourne and New Zealand, landing and receiving the mails at Hokitika, Nelson, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Porfc Chalmers, up and down for a period of three years, for £6,500 a-year. Time to be occupied as follows: — Wellington, via Hokitika and Nelson, nine days, Lyttelton, ditto, eleven days, Port Chalmers, twelve days, from the arrival of the P. and O. Company's steamer at Hobson's Bay.
