MAGISTRATES' COURT, RICHMOND.

[Before J. W. Barnicoat. F. Kelling, and Hugh Martin, Jun., Esqrs,, J.J.P.] Robert Cook, of Motueka Valley, was found guilty of entering the dwellinghouse of George Biggs, oh the sth of July instant, and after telling Biggs he had come for the purpose of giving him a thrashing, struck him several times. Biggs was nursing his child at the time. Fined 10s., and 11s 6d costs. Gratlan Cook was also charged with having challenged Biggs to fight on the same day. The invitation was declined by Biggs, who laid the information. Case dismissed. Informant to pay costs, 11s.
