Billiards. —An enthusiastic billiard player, who was one of the excursionists to Wanganui by the Wallace telegraphed the following to us this . morning : — " G-lorious victory Nelson billiard players." We are not quite clear what it means, but it evidently is considered a matter for congratulation, and consequently we are glad to hear it. Magnet Troupe. — The Magnet Troupe which was here some three months ago, and has since been performing to crowded houses at Christchurch and Wellington, will arrive from the latter place in the Ladybird to-morrow and give a few entertainments in Nelson commencing on Monday evening. The name of " Lottie " will of itself be a sufficiently powerful magnet to draw a large audience, to say nothing pf the numerous other attractions offered by the programme. „ n -^== * = j
