The power ; for working the Battery at present used is derived from a race, tbe fluming of wbich was all new, and the earthwork repaired in 1871, and which can be made capable of carrying sufficient water to drive the twenty stampers. There is also a single-stamp Battery, Retorthouse, Manager's residence, Stables, Huts &c , and all the usual plant of a mine.
