Superintendent's Office, Nelson, May 31, 1873. 11I1E following Clauses of the Protection of Animals Acts, are published for general information ; — "PROTECTION OJP ANIMALS ACT, 1867,'' 7 Section 20. J"* No person shall sell game until he shall have taken a License, which shall be in the form of Schedule HE. to this Act, and be sighed by the Superintendent or Treasurer of the Province, and shall be in force for a period ending on the Seven day of August; and the persou requiring the same shall in respect of every such License or Rene.wal of License, pay to the Treasurer of the Province in which such' License shall be issued the sum of . Five Pounds, and .if any person shall sell pny game without having duly taken out, and hiving in force such License as aforesaid, he shall for every euch act forfeit and pay ihe sum of Twenty Pounds ; and it shall be lawful for the holder of . every License^ in the form of Schedule I. (viss : An ordinary license to kill game) to this Act to sell game to any person holding a License to sell game in the form of Schedule IIJ. to this Act without taking/out any additional License to sell game as required in this Section. " Protection of Ani*ha*gs Act, 1872," Section 2. Every person who shall sell, offer for sale, cr expose for sale; and every holder of a License to sell game who sfiall have in his possession, or shal 1 in any manner dispose of any dead htn pheasant or any dead hen, shall, on convictirn, forfeit and pay for every such act a sum not exceeding Twenty Pounds ; and if such person hold a License to kill or sell game, such License shall, oa conviction, become ipso facto void.
