NOTICE. — The following Clause of the "Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information :— " Every owner of sheep shall, in the month of Januiry in each year, make a Return to the Chief Inspector, of .the Number of Sheep in his charge iv the Province of Nelson, on the lst day of January in such year; and shall, in the month of February in each year, pay or cause to to be paid to the Treasurer of the province a sum of money at the rate of three shillings per hundred for all sheep in his, eharge upon the Ist . day of January in such year ; and in defaultthereof the same may be sued ior in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with the defendant."
