The Nelson Evening Mail. THURSDAY, MAY 8, 1873.
Suburbs Election. — The nomination of candidates for tbe representation of the Suburbs takes place at the Provincial Hall, at noon to morrow. Mb Cottebell. —We remind our readers of the entertainment to be given by this gentleman to-morrow, when he will be assisted by some lady and gentlemen amateurs, who are to appear in ithe farce of Box and Cox. Mr Cotterell's abilities are too well known to render any recommendation by the press necessary to ensure him a full house. The Rangitoto arrived at noon to-day from Melbourne via Hokitika, where she landed 30 passengers and 50 tons of cargo, she brings 60 tons for Nelson. For some unexplainable reason our English and Australian telegrams which were landed at Hokitika have not yet reached us. We have therefore taken the latest telegrams from the Australasian of Saturday last.
