To-day's Ceremony. — At an early hoar this morning it was clear that something unusual was to take place, the streets being filled with people of both sexes and all ages, wending tbreir way towards Trafal-gar-street. Shortly after nine o'clock the Volunteers and Cadets drew up in front of the Masonic Hall, and being joined by the Freemasons, they inarched round the town headed by the band, picking up in the way the Oddfellows, Foresters, and Fire Brigade, and " Old Ben's " huge family of little ones. Arrived at the foot of the Church Hill, the carriages engaged to take those who were to take part in the proceedings at Stoke, drew up and were speedily filledi The .day is a lovely one, and there is every promise of the ceremony [passing; bff with; great eclat. , .
