TURNING THE FIRST SOD OF THE RAILWAY. The following arrangements have been made for the ceremony en Tuesday next. At 9 o'clock, the Freemasons, preceded by the Volunteers and Band, and followed by the children attending the town schools, will leave their lodge in Trafalgar-street, march through Hardy and Waimea streets, where they will be joined by the Oddfellows, and then proceed along Bridgestreet to the Temperance Hall, where the Foresters and Fire Brigade will join the procession, which will then march through Collingwood, Hardy, and Trafalgar streets to the foot of the Church Hill, where, at 10 o'clock, carriages will be in readiness to convey them to Stoke. The carriages will then, return to town to take out those for whom accommodation could not be provided at the first trip. At the racecourse the various public bodies from the town will be joined by their brethren from the country, and the whole will march to the, ground in the following order : — Band Volunteers Cadets Superintendent and Executive Committee Members of the Provincial Council Board of Works Band Freemasons Odd fe Howe Foresters ;
