NELSON AND WEST COAST RAILWAY.
The ceremony of turning the first sod of this railway hasi been postponed until Tuesday the 6th May. The following telegrams will explain the reason for the alteration : — To his Honor 0. Curtis, Esq. Am much gratified at your invitation, and many thanks to you for the kind way in -which you urge it. I cannot leave here by "Wednesday; had it been a few days later would, have had great pleasure accepting. Hope that in turning the first sod all past animosities will be buried. Julius Vogei..
