If the Government / allow such expenses, it will be called to account by the Legislature in an unmistakeable manner.' Donedin, April 1. The Customs returns for March amount to £21,*255; the revenue for the quarter £60,557. Mr Fallenstein will probably resign his seat in the House of Representatives. Gkahamsto*wn,° April 1.
