Public Nbtices. DESIGN FOR LUNATIC ASYLUM. Superintendent's Office, Nelson, . . February 10, 1873. THEPbovincial Government hereby offer a. . Premium of Fobtt Guineas for the Best DESIGN for a LUNATIC ASYLUM suitable for the requirements of. this. Province, and Ten Guineas for the Second Best design. Designs, must ( include Elevation and Ground Plansof a building capable of accommodating One Hundred Patients, but must he so' arranged that a portion of the building sufficient for say Fifty Patients may be erected in the first instance. Designs must be sent in on or before MONDAY, the 31st March next, accompanied by an estimate of cost with sufficient data to check the general correctness of the estimate. No Design will be considered if the estimated cost of the portion of the building required for Fifty Patients exceeds £4000. The Provincial Government will decide upon the relative merits of the Designs submitted, and no competitor will, be considered to have any claim to be employed in the supervision or erection of the building.
