PROVINCIAL. Wellington, March 15. The number of deaths in the month of February ■was twenty-two, of whom twelve were children. Mr Hart of Christchurch is here exhibiting the Malvern Hills' coal. He is endeavoring to induce the Government to construct a railway to the -mine. Coals are quoted at 48s, but a decline is expected. The Dacotah arrived from Lyttelton at 9 o'clock this morning.
