Welungton, March 12. Charles Death, convicted of sbeepstealing, has been sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment; James Sims, on a similar charge, was acquitted. The consignees are likely to sue the agents of the Glenlora for damages arising from delaj in delivering the cargo. It is expected that the whole Ministry -will assemble here in a fortnight. Messrs Yogel and M'Lean will come down immediately on the departure of the Governor. It is rumored that there was some likelihood that the Attorney-General will be offered a seat ex officio in the Upper House, to conduct Bills, without a vote. The story regarding the Glenlora girls running away to the military barracks at the Mauritius proves to be entirely false. It is now attributed to another vessel which visited Mauritius before the Glenlora. Auckland, March 12. The Auckland Maoris at Kaipara have presented a farewell address to Governor Bowen. The Education Board estimate the revenue from -the house tax at £9,500 and capitation £1,500. Expenditure £135,000.
