His Honor the Superintendent will leave the West Coast some time during the present week, and purposes to walk back to Nelson up the Buller Valley. Amateur Theatricals. — A number of ladies and gentlemen amateurs have decided on providing an evening's amusement for the Volunteers at the Oddfellows'- Hall, to-night* Dr. Care will visit Spring Grove, as advertised, on' the .evening of Friday . next. He will, also give a seance in Wakefield on the following evening Saturday 15th instant. Aurora Attstkalis. — There was a fine display of the Aurora last night, which would have been very brilliant had it not been for the bright moon that was shining. As it. was, the whole of the southern sky was at times suffused with a beautiful rosecolored hue, but the indications of the pale yellow streamers that usually foim part of this phenomenon were very faint.
