The following European and Australian news is from the Australasian of the 2?,ad iilfc , and was crowded out of yesterday's issue. THE CENTRAL ASIAN QUESTION. The official correspondence on the subject of Central Asia has been laid before Parliament as promised by the Premier. The papers conclude with a despatch from Prince Gortschakoff, dated 3 1st January last, which says that the divergencies of the two Governments of Russia and England related to Badakshan and Wakhan, which Russia regarded as. enjoying a certain independence. Considering, however, the difficulty of establishing facts, and especially wishing not to give the question . an exaggerated importance Russia will not refuse to accept the boundary. line laid down by Lerd Granville. Bussia relies upon England 'B influence to induce Shermii (?) to maintain a peaceful attitude, and relinquish all measures of aggression. THE SOUTH SEA LABOR TRADE. February 10. — In the House of Lords the Earl of Kimbejley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, in replying to a question put by the Earl of Belmore, promised that all the papers relative to the South Sea outrages should be produced. He also detailed the measures which had been adopted under the Kidnapping Act, and stated tb.it it was further intended to increase the squadron in the South Seas. He acknowledged the desire which existed in the colonies to punish all who were engaged in the nefarious trade.
