CRICKET.
o The return match between these Clubs was played at Wakefield on Friday and Saturday last, when the game was won by Wakefield by 13 runs. There appears to have been some little disagreement as to whether a batsman who stopped a swift ball with the back of his head should have been given " out." His position must certainly have been a strange one if his head actually prevented the ball from striking the wicket. The scores were as follows : —
