DESIGN FOR LUNATIC ASYLUM. Superintendent's Office, Nelson, February 10, 1873. THE Provincial Government hereby offer a Premium of FohTY .Guineas for the Best . DESIGN for a LUNATIC. ASYLUM suitable for the requirements of this Province, and Ten Guineas for the Second Best design. . Designs must include Elevation and Ground Plahsof a building capable of accommodatinfc One Hundred Patients, but must be so arrange d that a portion of the building sufficient for say Fifty Patients may be erected in the first instance. Design s must be sent in on or before MONDAY, the 31st March next, accompanied by an estimate of cost with sufficient data to check the general correctness of the estimate. No Design will be ■ considered if the estimated cost of the portion of the building required for Fifty Patients exceeds £4000. The Provincial Government will decide upon the relative merits of tli3 DesigDs submitted, and no competitor will be considered to have any claim to be employed in the supervision or erection of the building; Particulars of Site, &c, may be obtained on application at this Office.
