THE regular course of instruction comprises the English Language, Grammar, Literature, and Composition; Latin Greek, and French Languages; Arithmetic, Mathematics, Geometry, and the Elements of Natural Science; Geography ; History (Ancient and Modern) ; and Writing. Neison College is now affiliated to the New Zealand University, and accordingly provision is made by the Council for a course of Lectures during each term at the College on some branch of Physical Science. In connection with this Institution there are Eight Scholarships, open for competition as they become vacant (due public notice of which is given), viz: — two of £30 a year each, four of £20 a year each, and two of £10 a year each, variously tenable for from one to three years. No Pupil can be admitted under nine years of age, and who cannot read, write, and work the first four rules of arithmetic with reasonable facility. terms for the above course. £ s.
