Caledonian Society. — The annual dinner will take place at M'Gee' Hotel this evening at 8 o'clock. Nelson Savings Bank. — The trustees of this bank are reminded tbat the annual meeting will be held at the Institute tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Wesleyan Sunday Schools. — Meetings to celebrate the anniversary of these schools will be held at Stoke this evening, and at the Hardy-street Church to-morrow evening. Mesmerism. — Dr. Carr advertises tbat to-night and to-morrow night he will lecture, &c, at the - Oddfellows' Hall, wbich will positively be his last appearance,in Neison. Kesident Magistrate's Covet. — Three civil cases came on for hearing this morning : — Harley Brothers v. Kite for £35. Judgment for plaintiffs for amount claimed and costs. — The same v. Jones for £92 16s. The defendant pleaded a set-off and the case was adjourned for a fortnight. — Harper v. M'Loughlin, for £23 Bs. Judgment for the plaintiff for amount claimed and costs.
