Launceston, January 11. — The Criminal Court to-day was occupied with the trials of Seaton Williams'on the charge of manslaughter, and Charles Watson and Charles Field as seconds. Messrs Miller, Giblin, and Bocher addressed the jury for the defence. The Judge summed up as follows:— If the death came by fighting the verdict must be manslaughter. The jury retired, and after more than an hour v returned into Court, and intimated that they could not agree. The Judge desired them to retire again. The jury returned into Court after two hours with a verdict of Not Guilty. The prisoners were then discharged. The Clio is at Hobarton. Hobarton Grain Market, January 14 : —In breadstuff's little doing; prices nominally £14 per ton for flour; 6s. to 6s. 6d. for wheat.
