THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified thai; it ia the. intention of the Government to proclaim and declare the 9fh and 10th sections, of "The Nelson Srab Act, 1868," to be in operation throughout the Province of Nelson on and after the Ist day of MAY next, excepting only that portion of the Nelson Southwest Goldfields comprised within the following boundaries, viz. — Commencing at the mouth of the river Grey on the sea coast; thence by the sea coast to the mouth of the river Kar»mfe»; thence up the Karamea river t-> a point known as the Krtramea Bend; thence in a straight line to the junction of the rivers Wahgapeka and JJart; thence in a straight line to the junction of the rivers Buller and Hope; thence following the boundary of " the "Nelson South-west Goldfields to the boundary of the County of VVestland;. thence by the boundary of the said county to the source of the river Arnold; thence by the rivers Arnold and Grey to the sea coast.
