TJWERY owner of SHEEP shall in the month JlL| of JANUARY in each year make a RETURN to the CHIEF INSPECTOR, of the number {of Sheep in his charge in the Province of Nelson, on the First day of January in such year; and shall in the month of FEBRUARY in each year, pay or cause to be paid to the Treasurer of the Province, a sum of money at the rate of Three Shillings per Hundred for all Sheep in his charge upon the First day of January in each year; and in default thereof the eamemay be sued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of Sheep in his charge shall rest with "~ defendant.
