Superintendent's Office, Nelson, December 13, 1872. mHE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be JL notified that it is the intention of the Government to proclaim and declare the 9th and 10th sections of " The Nelson Scab Act, 18G8," to be in operation throughout the Province of Nelson on and after the Ist day of MAY next, excepting only that portion of the Nelson Southwest Goldfields comprised within the following boundaries, viz. — Commencing at tlie mouth of the river Grey on the sea coast; thtnee by the sea coast to the mouth of the river Karamea; thence up the Karamea river to a point known as the Kararaea Bend; thence in a straight line to the junction of the rivers Waogapeka and Dart; thence in a straight line to the junction of the rivers Buller and Hope; thence following the boundary of the Nelson South-west Goldfields to the boundary of the County of Westland; thence by the boundary of the said county to the source of the river Arnold ; thence by the rivers Arnold and Grey to the sea coast.
