December 12. — Sir James Fergusson .is betrothed to Miss Eichman, sister-in-law of Captain Hughes, the wealthy Moonta proprietor. Captain and Mrs, Hughes and Miss Richman proceed to England by the .next mail. The marriage will take place in London. ■ There is great disorganisation among the police force. The wheat crops are extraordinary. One run of 5000 acres will give an average of 25 bushels to the acre. New crop 4s lid imrncjiate, 4s 5d late delivery.
