Vaughan drew a revolver that he had with him and shot him through the fleshy part of'the leg, . An information wsr theu laid by Vaughan on account of the first assault. Murray was not so badly wounded as to prevent his walking from the lock"-up to the Court-house, but Dr Boor, who had attended him, stated that he considered he was in a state of intoxication aud unfitted to defend himself, or to cross-examine witnesses. He was, therefore, remanded until to-morrow at 12 o'clock.
