Regatta Club— At a meeting' held' last night, MrJ. S. Cross was re-elected Commodore, Mr J. P. Lowe Vice-Com-modore, and Mr Wigzell Honorary Secretary. The regatta will, aa usual, be held on Boxing Day. St Mary's, Nelson.-— We beg to call the attention of our readers to a correction which hasbeen made in the above advertisement, where it will be seen that Mass at St Mary's, Nelson, will be said at 7 instead of 8 o'clock to-morrow (Sunday) morning. ; Cbicket. — A match was played on Saturday last between the Riwaka and Pangatotara clubs, which resulted in the former winning with ten wickets to go down, the scores being, Pan patotara 24 and 51, Riwaka 70 in the first innings, and 6 in' the second without a wicket falling. Oddfellotvs' Hall. — Mr Bromley and Miss Neilson gave a very amusing and pleasing entertainment last night, the lady's singing in particular being exceedingly well received. Next week they purpose visitiDg the Waitnea districts, and will appear &t Richmond on Monday, Wakefield on Tuesday, and Waimea West on Wednesday. No doubt residents in the country will take advantage of the opportunity thus afforded them. A Fakewell Lunch, to which about 30 sat down, was given at the Masonic Hotel, to-day, to Mr Richard Corbett, who, after being for two years accountant at the Union Bank of Australia in Nelson, has been removed to Hokitika to take charge of the Apency in that town. During his short stay in Nelson, Mr Corbett has made many friends, who, while congratulating him on bis promotion, cannot but regret his removal from amongst them.
