Bankruptcy.— This morning's Gazette notifies that' William As tie, carpenter, of Nelson, has filed a declaration of insolvency. Cricket. — The return match between the Town and College Clubs will be played in Victory Square to-morrow afternoon, wickets to be pitched at halfpast one. Oddfellows' Hall. — An entertainment will be given at this Hall to-night by Mr. Bromley and Miss Neilson, assisted by several amateurs. Mr. Bromley will act in some of bis most amusing characters, and Miss Neilson sing some of her choicest songs. Itaitan Opeka. — Our readers will be glad to learn that the Italian Opera Company intend paying Nelson a visit shortly, where they will perform for one night only. The date of their arrival is not yet fixed, but it will be most likely be within a fortnight. II Trovatore will probably be the opera selected. The Funeral of Mr. J. B. Calder, late . a member of the Auxiliary Fire Brigade, took place this afternoon. The remains of the deceased were accompanied to the grave by the members of the Brigade in full uniform, and a large number, of friends, and the fire bells in the .Various parts of the town were toiled as the pro-, cession passed through the streets.
