Perseverance Mine. — The shareholders in the Perseverance Company will be glad to learn that the directors have ordered the erection of the ten additional stampers received from Melbourne some time since, and that the work will be proceeded with immediately. Christ Church.— We are requested to state that the , sermons in this church will be preached to-morrow by the Yen. Archdeacon Butt, and the Rev. Gr. T. N. , Watkins, who are now in Nelson on busi--7 ness connected with the Synod. The former will preach in the evening and the latter in the morning. • i Artizans' Association.— The annual dinner of the members of this Society took place last evening* at McGee's Hotel.. About forty sat down, the chair being occupied by Mr. R. ItAiis) very like the Little Wonder stone, atudqedi with good-sized pieces "of gold, and showing indications of bearing fio-r gold ' throughout. Awakened interest in the district is culminating in excitement, and a few more such finds will cause a rush to the Lyell that may equal the palmiest tiroes at Reefton. ..„.-,
