• *■• Wellington, October 2: A new clause in the Maori Representation Bill giving another member was carried on a division by 30 to 17. Mr. Yogel asked a question with reference to a reduction on: the rates of Press telegrams, and suggested that tha papers should' be allowed to receive telegrams after office hours at greatly reduced rates. - Mr. Curtis replied that the matter was under tha cons-deration.of the Government. In reply to a question from Mr Yogel, Mr Gillies said that. the Government recognised, ths value bf subsidising mail services', not only to the .-Fijis, but elsewhere, and that they would consider the best means by which it might be effected. . - * . ... .. -.■, Mr Yogel saidfhe .would introduce, the subject agaiti at a later period, and take the sense of the House upon it.
