CORRESPONDENCE.

To the Editor op the Nelson Evenisg Mail. Sir — 1 am puzzled to account for tlie business philosophy which would allow a useful bridge in a populous district to be taken up and destroyed, for simply the value ot its timbers. Such appears likely to be the case with ihe Dun Mountain bridge crossing the stream at Man ulta -street, it being currently reported that an offer hns actually huen made for the timbers; Would you, Mr Editor, kindly use your interest to induce the. Board of Works to purchase the said bridge, as any obstruction to the traffic in that direction would be a great inconvenience to the locality. Yours, &c,, Pedestrian.
