"^ Inangahua Goldfields. — A private telegram received (rom Reefton yesterday says : — "Pat Hunt's crushing, concluded last night; 300 tons pave 920 ounces.; A rush to alluvia] ground five miles from here." '■ . . Nelson City Loan Act. — A Bill to empower the Nelson 'Board of Woiks to raise a loan of £5000 for sewerage purposes at 6 per cent, interest, with power to sell the debentures at the best price to be obtained, was introduced by Mr. Curtis into the Assembly yesterday, and read the first time. The second reading is fixed for Wednesday next. . . : Football. — A return match will be played on Saturday, the 25th instant, between the Nelson Club and the College (assisted by some old Collegians). As, owing to the weather, there has not been a good game for a long time, and the players are rather out of practice, it is proposed to have a friendly game next Saturday, when it is to be hoped there will be a good muster.
