A scheme is now being arranged in Paris for testifying tho gratitude of the French natlou to England for the succor Bent to the victims of the war. No less than 116 communes have undertaken to co-operate with the Paris committee. It is intended to. distribute, among them sheets of vellum, "adorned with their respective municipal arms. Thesa are to be inscribed .with ,lhe names.of the- representative inhabitants. When collected, the sheets will, be in volumes, which will be placed in an ornamental cabinet, — and "forwarded to the! Mansion House in London.
