/Dunedin; August 12. Mr Cantreli died last night. A lode of silver, has been- discovered on the Carrick ranges, , ten inches thick. It has been traced to a considerable distance, and a practical miner who visited it, says it is the richest lode he ever saw. ■ ..- y : . •/ -r ; - ; There is ho trace of Plummer. Contradictory reports reach the police, one of which says he was seen 30 miles from Dunedin.
