We are indebted to Captoin B. 15, Creagh. of the p.s. Wallace, for the following report :— The Anchor Line Oo's p:iddle-stcarcer Wallace, left Kelson on Saturday, the 29ih ultimo, at 1 p.m. Experienced light variable -winds and heavy ■westerly sea on the passage, srrivin ; off Westport at' 7 p.m on Sunday. Crossed the bar on Honday morning, at 5 o'clock. Was detained at Westport until Tuesday, when she left at 4 p.m. for G-reymouth, arriving there at 7 am. on Wednesday. Landed cargo and left for Hokitika at 7 a m. on Thursday, arriving there at 9 a.m. same day. having made the run from wharf to wharf— 21 miles — ia 2 hours. Left Hokitika at 7 a.m on Friday, arriving at 9.10 same morning. Took in SS tons coai and left for Westport at 9 p.m., arriving there at 7 am. on Saturday. Left again at noon for Nelson. Experienced very heavy N.W. squalls, rain, and westerly 6ea lor the first 8 hours out, during: which time the ship made little headway; from that time light S.K. wind and smooth water, arriving at Nelson at 11.30 a.m. on Sunday, having made a run of 110 miles in 13£ hours.
